After lunch, we visit the iconic Hagia Sophia, exploring its awe-inspiring dome, mosaics, and rich history as both a Byzantine cathedral and Ottoman mosque.
Hippodrome (30 minutes)
We then head to the Hippodrome, an ancient Byzantine racetrack. We will view the Obelisk of Theodosius, the Serpent Column, and the Walled Obelisk.
Sultanahmet Mosque (30 minutes)
Next, we visit the famous Sultanahmet Mosque, also known as the Blue Mosque. This visit will allow us to admire its six minarets and striking blue tiles.
Spice Bazaar (30 minutes)
We end our land-based tour with a visit to the Spice Bazaar, where we will browse through a variety of spices, teas, and Turkish delights.
Bosphorus Cruise (2 hours)
To conclude the day, we embark on a 1,5 hour Bosphorus Cruise. As we sail along the Bosphorus, we will enjoy stunning views of the Dolmabahçe Palace, Ortaköy Mosque, and both the 15 July Martyrs Bridge and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge. The cruise offers a perfect opportunity to witness Istanbul’s beauty from the water, as we pass by historical landmarks on both the European and Asian shores.
